Interventional Procedures & Injections

    • Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy (FNAB): Thyroid, Lymph Node and Breast

Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy (FNAB) can be utilised for further pathology investigation of abnormal tissue growth in a certain area of the body. Currently, we offer FNAB procedures for thyroid, lymph node and breast tissue.

    • Core Biopsy: Breast

A Core Biopsy option is available for breast tissue if requested by your doctor. This procedure uses a slightly larger, hollow needle for the collection of abnormal breast cells for further investigation. A local anaesthetic may be used to reduce any discomfort during the procedure.
    • Joint Injections: CT and Ultrasound Guided

Joint injections are used to treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, such as joint inflammation and joint dysfunction. The procedure will involve an injection of cortisone or steroid, under CT or ultrasound guidance to ensure precise placement.

Please check with our friendly reception staff before arriving to your appointment to confirm specialist availability and preparation requirements for your procedure.
